The cat of Kazan, the pub

Name your restaurant "the cat of Kazan" has received from the collective image of cats from Kazan, defined on the sovereign‘s life guards service and the special allowance by Empress Elizabeth in 1745.

About fifty descendants of the once taken away from Kazan cats are still in official service and live in the cellars and premises of the State Hermitage.

The restaurant opened in a historic building on the first floor of an old mansion, a monument of cultural heritage. The atmosphere of a bygone era in the restaurant create carefully restored brick walls with arches, old pictures and paintings of cats in the moldings, the collection of samovars, cozy leather sofas and oak.

The pub will delight in the traditional dishes of European and Russian cuisine, rich wine list and 12 Beers on tap.
